25 Random Things About Me

1. I would rather be a forest ranger.
2. Three of my favorite Scriptures are Exodus 4:13, Psalm 107 and Revelation 21:1.
3. Sometimes I’m unconvinced God talked to me once, well, actually three times.
4. I have developed a simple and effective way to charge the batteries of my off the grid home 12VDC electrical system by pedaling my bicycle and I wish I knew how to market the idea so that I could be RICH!
5. I have an exceptionally high solitude quotient.
6. Someday I’m going to be a preacher.
7. I wore orange jeans and purple jeans and red jeans and green jeans in high school.
8. My uncle, a psychiatrist, has observed that men who prefer cats to dogs also prefer a more independent woman, and I agree. I have two cats.
9. Triathlon changed my life.
10. And God keeps changing my living continually.
11. I hiked to the top of Mt. Fuji in three hours and ran down in two; I hear it normally takes five up and three down. I felt like death for two days afterwards.
12. My younger brother is a good man, I really admire him.
13. I love splitting firewood and then sniffing the fresh split pieces vigorously.
14. As a result, of the splitting, not the sniffing, I can slam the weight at the fair into the bell at the top of the tower very hard every single time.
15. I pretty much think I’m a freak.
16. Overall, I think life is pretty good, and it’s going to be getting better, even though it’s hard and might be getting harder.
17. I love racing my bicycle, especially when I crush my competitors.
18. Which reminds me of how much I enjoy hard rock music like Demon Hunter and Project 86, but I also thrill to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Andrea Bocelli.
19. I volunteered at a pregnancy resource center for a while, but I don’t think I did much good.
20. I love making my dad laugh. I love eating my mom’s cooking.
21. I love awful weather, the fiercer, the better, and I love working in it if I have the right gear.
22. Temperatures above 70 degrees suck, except sometimes, rarely, I like to lie in the sun, and then 90 is about right. Humidity kills me. So does waiting. I hate waiting! HATE IT!
23. Someday I'd like to write and publish a book about my experience of the Israel trip, but I don’t want to offend anyone, especially Don and Sondra, and I wonder just how much of my inner thoughts to expose.
24. I sure am thankful for some of the super close friends I have from Friend Ships. I love you guys!
25. My life is not my own. God bought it with His own blood, so He owns me. Watch and see what He’s going to do with me – I don’t know yet either.
